BARLOW MOTORS |
|||||
| Barlow Motors is a 1/4" to the foot scale scratch built model of a 1940's gas station that is showing signs of aging, and badly needs a coat of paint and a bit of a clean up. It features a fully detailed interior, and is built featuring board by board construction, with each piece of timber grained and distressed, aged with timber stain and dry brushed to achieve a weathered peeling paint effect. Some of the signs have been hand painted, and the method is detailed in the article "HAND PAINTED SIGNS - The Easy Way" in this site. The remainder of the signs are a mixture of commercial, computer generated, scanned out of books and magazines, while some have been down loaded of the Net. | |||||
